About us

My name is Emma and I am here to make your life a whole lot easier. My business has evolved from my two main passions in life – education and being and mum!

With over twenty successful years working in schools as a teacher and headteacher, spending half of that time, spinning plates with being a full time mum; my aim is to help families with the daily stresses of supporting children with their education.

The impact of the pandemic and ‘home schooling’ allowed parents to have a real insight into their child’s learning. Many, including myself, found teaching their own child an impossible challenge!

I strongly believe children will achieve their best when they feel safe, happy and confident, learning new skills through a context they enjoy; whether that’s sports, animals, history, fiction or technology. For the duration of the lockdowns, I used this personalised approach to provide online learning for children of all ages. Many of these, I still work with today.

For various reasons, the school setting does not suit every child and I now have the absolute privilege of working with a small group of children who remain home educated. Through first quality teaching and learning, they continue to progress and achieve so much through a creative personalised curriculum.

Fast forward two years and now I am the proud founder of ELS Tutoring and Educational Services Ltd.
